Its task was to renew the Church and her reference to the world. After the council, anthropological approach dominated in ecclesiology, which claimed that “man is the way of the Church”. Pope Francis’s teaching has become a part of this approach. For him the Church, like God, is searching for man, heals him and embraces him in order for him to feel loved. For this reason, everything should be saturated with tenderness. Since a considerable part of pope Bergoglio’s ecclesiology is marked by tenderness, then it is justified to ask how he understands the Church’s tenderness. This article attempts to address this question and presents the pope’s vision in four points. The first point shows the Church as clothed in the tenderness of the Three-Personed God; the second – showed her as a communion of tenderness ad intra; the third – as approaching the world with tenderness; the fourth – as inspired by Mary’s tenderness. Abundant literal quotations of the pope make it possible to express the reflections with the actual words of the pope.plCC-BY - Uznanie autorstwaKościółczułośćMaryjaFranciszek papieżJorge Mario Bergoglioeklezjologia posoborowaeklezjologiateologiasobór watykański IIeklezjologia papieża FranciszkaChurchtendernessMaryPope Francispost-conciliar ecclesiologyecclesiologytheologyVatican Council IIPope Francis’ ecclesiologyCzułe oblicze Kościoła.
