Christopher Lowe, bom in Birmingham in 1923, died the 6th June 2001 in Warsaw. An Anglican Benedictine, a member of the Community of Resurrection, the president of the International Ecumenical Fellowship, has committed his life in the service of the others as a priest, spiritual advisor, preacher of retreats, ecumenist. His special concern was the cause of Christian Unity. Frequent visitor to Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia and Czech Republic he devoted himself to build special links of interdenominational friendship and brotherhood amongst Christians, with particular care for Benedictine Communities. Fr. Christopher was an every-year visiting lecturer in the Ecumenical Institute of the Catholic University of Lublin. His life and works led in the great discretion helped to build the new world of reunited Christendom. Modest, patient, wise, devoted to his work.
