In the pericope of the empty tomb of Jesus (Luke 24:1-12), the angels announce the resurrection of Jesus: “Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen” (Luke 24:5-6). The women are the witnesses of the empty tomb and the resurrection. Then, they are told by angels to tell the apostles about the resurrection.
