He indicates the use of this title in the Egyptian, Assyrian and Babylonian Wisdom books, both in Hellenistic and in Biblical literature, both in the Old and in the New Testaments, which could have hat an influence on the origin of the Christian title "Fathers". In the second part the author every loca of where Athanasius uses the name "Fathers” and indicates how it was interpreted by the Patriarch of Alexandria: 1) Ancestors – distinguished by some sing of authority or holiness or other important signs, 2). Bishops who decided on matters of faith, especially those who participated in the Council of Nicea or other Councils, 3). Personalities that were contemporary who distinguished themselves for their holiness and their authority (Hosius, St. Antonius, St. Basil) – honorary titles. 4).
