In his Easter homilies Pope Benedict XVI undertakes the task of explaining the great mystery of faith in a kerygmatic and existential manner with his typical insight, precision and clarity. This article is an attempt to demonstrate the relationship between the Resurrection, the creation and the new creation. In his homilies the Holy Father explains the meaning of the historical event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as well as its essence and its importance for each person and the entire world. He accomplishes this task through a reference to the Bible’s testimony and the Church’s liturgy as well as to the language of analogy and symbols, such as water and light. The bonds linking the Resurrection and the creation are demonstrated by means of referring the redemptive event to the biblical account of creation, to the truth of Christ as the Logos and to the light of the world. Easter is presented as the first day, the feast of the new creation.plCC-BY-SA - Uznanie autorstwa - Na tych samych warunkachWielkanocnowe stworzenieprotologiazmartwychwstanie ChrystusaJezus Chrystusteologiateologia dogmatycznatajemnicatajemnica zmartwychwstania Chrystusahomilie paschalne Benedykta XVIhomiliahomilia paschalnaBenedykt XVIJoseph Ratzingerświatłoogieńsymbolsymbol światławodasymbol wodysymbolika paschalnasymbolika liturgii Wigilii PaschalnejBibliaPismo ŚwięteMisterium PaschalneEasternew creationprotologyResurrection of ChristJesus Christtheologydogmatic theologymysterymystery of Christ's ResurrectionBenedict XVI's paschal homilieshomilypaschal homilyBenedict XVIlightfiresymbol of lightwatersymbol of waterpaschal symbolismsymbolism of the Paschal Vigil liturgyBiblePaschal MysteryWielkanoc dniem nowego stworzenia.
