The concept of universalism is today opposed to particularism, which is considered to be an antagonism that slows down the universality and unity of Europe. The author tries to achieve an analysis of concepts as well as a sociological analysis and to answer the question whether such an approach is advisable. He also makes an attempt to find the complementary principles of universalism and particularism.polCC-BY-ND - Uznanie autorstwa - Bez utworów zależnychuniwersalizmpowszechnośćpartykularyzmodmiennośćantagonizmwspółczesnośćsocjologiafilozofiaantagonizm niekoniecznyuniversalismcommonnessparticularismothernessantagonismpresentsociologyphilosophyunnecessary antagonismUniwersalizm czy partykularyzm – współczesny niekonieczny antagonizmUniversalism or Particularism – a Contemporary Unnecessary AntagonismArticle
