According to the Church, Catholics’ political involvement is an important dimension of their care for the common good. On the strength of the holy baptism Catholics are called to responsibility for political, social and cultural life. Catholics’ political involvement should be consistent with the principles of the Gospel and bound by the spirit of ministry. Limits of lay Catholics’ involvement in political life are set by the Church’s social teaching. Preparation for political and social work begins in the family. Catholic circles, communities and associations are a support for people undertaking work in political and social life since they offer a chance to enlarge one’s knowledge as well as to exchange views and convictions. Schools and courses of political and social formation can also play an important role. They serve inculturation of the Gospel and overcoming the division between faith and Catholics’ political involvement.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/życie politycznezaangażowanie polityczneKatolicka Nauka Społecznanauczanie społeczne Kościołaformacja katolikówformacjaformacja politycznapolitykaewangelizacjaszkoły formacji politycznejszkołyzrzeszenia religijnepolitical lifepolitical involvementCatholic social teachingformation of Catholicsformationpolitical formationpoliticsevangelizationschools of political formationschoolsCatholic social sciencereligious associationskatolicyCatholicsświeccylaypeoplelaikatlaityKościółteologiateologia pastoralnaChurchtheologypastoral theologyKościół a życie polityczne jako problem pastoralnyThe Church and Political Life as a Pastoral ProblemArticle
