In 1991 and 1992 it became the subject for debate during annual meetings of Polish dogmatic theologians. The author of the paper takes a stand on some objections raised during the debate and reflects on some further issues, such as: 1. the ultimate finality of freedom; 2. its paradoxical nature; 3. the relationship between freedom and a real possibility of perdition; 4. the state of self-isolation and God's persuading love; 3. Jesus Christ – the unwearied Shepherd of the lost creature; 6. a fundamental asymmetry between sin and grace.polCC-BY-ND - Uznanie autorstwa - Bez utworów zależnychwolnośćparadoks wolnościzatracenienadziejazbawieniemiłość BożagrzechłaskaJezus Chrystuseschatologiazbawienie powszechnepiekłofreedomthe paradox of freedomperditionhopesalvationGod's lovesingraceJesus Christeschatologyuniversal salvationhellNadzieja zbawienia a dramat wolności człowiekaHope of Universal Salvation and the Drama of Human FreedomArticle
