However, the emphasis was put in different ways: from the struggle against reading wrong publications (until the Vatican Council II) to utter affirmation of reading Catholic publications. Reading Catholic publications influences a man’s integral formation: human, spiritual, moral and doctrinal. Contact with the written word plays an important role in the process of transmitting and intensifying the faith (EN 42). Moreover, it helps form a community. The Holy Scripture takes a special place in the formation process. It is a peculiar way of transmitting faith to us, since Christ as the talking one is present in it. Communication with Christ through books is a true communion with Him - the Giver of faith, hope and love. Communion with Christ leads the reader to cognition of the truth that liberates him.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/formacjaformacja religijnaczytelnictwoczytelnictwo religijneczytelnictwo Pisma Świętegomassmediologia teologicznamassmediologiapublikacje katolickiePismo ŚwięteBibliaformationreligious formationreadingreligious readingreading the Holy Scripturestheological science of mass mediamassmediologyCatholic publicationsBiblemass mediaśrodki masowego przekazuformacyjne zadania czytelnictwazadania czytelnictwaformative tasks of readingtasks of readingFormacyjne zadania czytelnictwa publikacji katolickichThe Formative Task of Reading Catholic PublicationsArticle
