In order to make this instrument 32 „Notificationes”, 121(1982), s. 268. 44 most efficient, it was necessary to involve the greatest possible number of the faithful – both clergy and laity – into the synodal works. Cardinal Karol Wojtyła considered the established by himself Synods as a field for cooperation and dialogue with lay people. Therefore, the construction of the two Synods and their responsibility within the Church and were able to be effectively involved in the renewal of pastoral ministry and their own apostolate.
