The article analyses Zofia Tyber’s (Mother Paula, 1890–1963) message in relation to deification theology. An outcome of the searches is compared to the understanding of theosis in contemporary theology (the International Theological Commission and Joseph Ratzinger’s documents). The mystic’s heritage enables one to apply the traditional theory of an “admirable exchange” to Christian existence. Union of a man with God takes place at the level of “exchange of souls” of Christ and a believer. An emphasis laid on the soteriological role of Christ’s soul and on Eucharist in the deification process is especially worthy of attention. Proceeding from Christ’s presence in a human soul after the Holy Communion to a total harmony of mind, will and feelings (idea of a „short path”) is ultimately aimed at.plCC-BY - Uznanie autorstwaZofia Tajber (Matka Paula)Międzynarodowa Komisja TeologicznaJoseph RatzingerJezus ChrystusWcielenieprzebóstwienieprzedziwna wymianaduszaEucharystiateologia dogmatycznateologia mistycznamistykamistycyzmchrystologiasoteriologiateologiaZofia Tajber (Mother Paula)International Theological CommissionJesus ChristIncarnationdeificationadmirable exchangesoulEucharistdogmatic theologymystical theologymysticismChristologysoteriologytheologyPrzedziwna wymiana dusz.
