Despite lots of efforts and publications concerning this issue, the problem has not been finally solved. The paper is yet another opinion in this discussion, attempting to show some approaches to the pedagogy of religion. The following problems have been presented: pedagogy of religion in the strict sense, pedagogy of religion as Christian pedagogy, and pedagogy of religion as religious education. It seems that there are three most common ways to understand the pedagogy of religion. Aside to the essence of this discipline in various approaches, there have been attempts to define its epistemological status.
