During the interwar period he was one of the leading activists of Catholic organizations such as Catholic Academic Youth Association “Odrodzenie” (Revival), Catholic Writers Association, Association of Polish Catholic Intelligentsia,“Pax Romana”. This article presents the relations between professor Halecki and Cardinal August Hlond who at that time was the Primate of Poland. It was based on a questionnaire completed by Oskar Halecki in 1968 during the preparation for the beatification process of Primate Hlond.
