In the first one, the author presents — on the basis of available archival documents — the successive stages of submitting applications to the authorities of the People’s Republic of Poland (in the years 1980-1982), requesting permissions to build churches in the Diocese of Opole, the parish of Lord’s Transfiguration in Opole offering a case study. In the second part, the author describes the course of the construction of the church, and in the third one, explains — in the light of documents of the Second Vatican Council — the architectonic principles behind the sacral object under discussion, together with the group of parochial buildings.
