It is also unfortunately the period of many threats for youth. Much of the adverse health consequences experienced by adolescents are, to a large extent, the result of risk behaviors. In this article we have described adolescent health risk behaviors. We have concentrated on theories of risk behaviors contextualizing biological, psychological and environmental aspects.
