Apart from it, many people compromise Christianity as they fail to follow moral principles in everyday life. It is, therefore, most important to undertake a discussion on the essential values which constitute the foundations on which the edifice of the structure of society and its cultural background is being erected. The shaping of mature human and Christian attitudes appears to be nowadays a great challenge. To cope with this process, it is necessary to visualize the notion of Christian pedagogy, to emphasize the fundamental role of conscience in education, as well as to indicate the threat hidden in manipulation. The above issues, presented, of course, in a concise form, constitute the essence of this article.Kryzys europejskiej cywilizacji objawia się w kryzysie człowieczeństwa, kryzysie sumienia, w prawnie usankcjonowanym przekreśleniu życia. Dodatkowo wielu kompromituje chrześcijaństwo brakiem zastosowania zasad moralnych w codziennym życiu. Warto więc podjąć spór o wartości fundamentalne, na których wznoszony jest gmach struktury społeczeństwa i jego kulturowy firmament. Kształtowanie dojrzałych postaw ludzkich i chrześcijańskich stanowi współcześnie wielkie wyzwanie. Aby temu procesowi podołać, należy ukazać istotę chrześcijańskiej pedagogii, wskazać na fundamentalną rolę sumienia w wychowaniu oraz dostrzec poważne zagrożenie ukryte w manipulacji.
