The first Jews arrived in the city around 1478 and their main sources of income were trade, the lease of goods, and loans. In the middle of the XVI century, restrictions on the settlement of Jews were put into place. Thus, in later years one does not find information certifying their presence. The Jewish people began to appear again in Błonie in the late XVIII century. At that time, the Jewish community was not large - in 1808, twenty Jews lived here, representing 2.5% of the population. Their numbers gradually increased, reaching 34.5% in 1897. In the interwar period, a fully-formed Jewish community with its own schools and organizations could be observed. The time of German occupation ended its existence.polCC-BY-ND - Uznanie autorstwa - Bez utworów zależnychBłonieosadnictwo żydowskie na Mazowszuorganizacje żydowskieHolokaustzabytki żydowskieŻydzieksterminacja ŻydówMazowszehistoriaŻydzi w BłoniuII wojna światowaokres międzywojennyspołeczność żydowskahistoria Żydówhistoria Żydów w Błoniuhistoria Żydów na Mazowszuokupacja nazistowskaśmierćJewish colonization in MazoviaJewish organizationsHolocaustJewish monumentsJewsextermination of JewsMazoviahistoryJews in BłonieWorld War IIinterwar periodJewish communityhistory of Jewshistory of Jews in Błoniehistory of Jews in MazoviaNazi occupationdeathŻydzi w Błoniu – dzieje i zagładaJews in Błonie – History and ExterminationArticle
