A gradual development of importance the collegiate church was nobilitated by the visits of the highest dignitaries both secular and ecclesiastical ones. The temple has become the mother of churches in the land of Wieluń. Firmly integrated with both urban and landed organs, financially supported by numerous donators, collegiate church was believed to be well-equipped and wealthy. The archbishop of Gniezno, Jan Łaski confirmed it and rated the collegiate church as assimilated to the richest ones in the Kingdom.
