The first village is medium-sized, the second is smaller. Both villages had one owner, both villages were also connected in one place in the 19th century. First, the owner was the gentry family Wierusz-Kowalscy, and from 1612 the Monastery of the Sisters of Bernardine in Wieluń. The article presents the demographic situation of the population of the villages of Gana and Pustkowie Długie according to the census of 1790, which was prepared by a local parish priest, ordered by the Civil and Military Civil Order Committee of the Wieluń Region and the Ostrzeszów Poviat. In the presented source material, each household was given separately, and in it the name and surname as well as the age of the household members and the degree of their kinship. The census is the first such detailed census made in Poland. The article presents the image of the population of Gana and Pustkowie Długie by showing the age structure, the image of the peasant family, along with its structure and characteristics.
