Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, Archbishop of Kraków, took part in its preparatory works and then in its deliberations. In the conformity with the rightly read Gospel, he tought that tyhe defence and promotion of human rights and dignity are the inseparable elements of evangelization. During the Synod, while performing the momentous functionof of relator, he manifested the personalistic method of evangelization.
