The author opposes deep conflicts in contemporary culture to the John Paul's view of the great integration in Christ. After presenting papal efforts to integrate our divided culture on the basis of Christian humanism, the author discloses theological presuppositions inspiring this search for unity. The role of hope, suffering and sacrifice is stressed in this framework of personalistic epistemology in which one discovers his deep self on the way of total confidence to God.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/nadziejaunifikacjaepistemologia cierpieniaepistemologiacierpieniefilozofiakapłaństwoEmausprofetyzmdialogkulturakultura współczesnaJan Paweł IIKarol Wojtyłapapieżedialog z kulturą współczesnąhopeunificationepistemology of sufferingepistemologysufferingphilosophypriesthoodprophetismdialoguecultureJohn Paul IIpopesdialogue with contemporary culturecontemporary cultureKapłaństwo w perspektywie Emaus.
