The author uses the historical-legal and dogmatic-legal method. The author analyzes the teaching of canon law in the context of intellectual and pastoral formation, which are involved in the preparation of the candidates for the ordination of the presbyterate. The study of the canon law has always been one of the basis for the priesthood’s instrumentarium. The author analyzes the norms of canon law, which form the basis for the teaching of the canon law in the Siedlce seminary, presents scientific profiles of seminar lecturers, textbooks and didactics.
