It is in the family that all the problems if individual and communal life are focused. Personal contacts are placed there, and against their background a relation to the material world is formed. The above hierarchy influences the superiority of the emotional message, the atmosphere of straightforwardness and openness, trust, kindness, faithfulness and affection. The family circle, which is a natural educational context, responds to the child’s needs, first of all psychological ones: the need for love, for security, closeness, attachment and respect, of a model and an ideal. Their fulfillment ensures in the child the state of inner harmony, openness to the surroundings and a positive attitude to people. Hence, the proper environment for forming pro-social attitudes is the family. It is within the family that the social and Christian dimensions of voluntariate may grow.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/wolontariatbezinteresownośćrodzinapostawy prospołecznesocjologiaspołeczeństwonauki o rodziniepostawavoluntary serviceunselfishnessfamilypro-social attitudessociologysocietyfamily studiesattitudeselflessnessWolontariat w życiu rodzinyVoluntariate in the Life of the FamilyArticle
