The article consists of four parts. It opens with a preface introducing the main content. The second part, entitled “The Organization, Functions and Objectives of Health Resorts”, provides the most important infonnation concerning the legal and organizational status of health resorts, their objectives and functions. The third part, entitled “The Presentation of Selected Health Resorts”, features a description of main Polish health resorts and their significance for tourism.
