Since he was a Salesian with an educational background in pastoral work and pedagogy, Fr. Wilk analyzed the preventive system in the context of these three areas. Hence, for Fr. Wilk, the preventive system was above all a Salesian heritage. For him, educational love constituted the essence of the preventive system and he considered remaining faithful to the youth as the actualization of the preventive system.
