Speaking about its renewal, one has to point at some postulates which concern the make-up of the pastoral care for families. There is a need for the efficient functioning of pastoral centres comprising the area of the whole diocesis and new forms of their work. The deaf children at the preschool age and the deaf youth after their graduation from school should be taken into special care. There is a shortage in the adequate number of priests, so it seems that there is an impending need for the formation of the lay specialists in pastoral care. The activity of this branch of pastoral care requires that its significance be perceived by the local churches.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/teologiatheologyteologia pastoralnapastoral theologyduszpasterstwoministryduszpasterstwo niesłyszącychpastoral care for the deafosoby niesłysząceniesłyszącydeafduszpasterstwo specjalnespecial pastoral careniepełnosprawnidisabledosoba z niepełnosprawnościąperson with disabilitiesodnowarenewalniepełnosprawnidisabledOdnowa duszpasterstwa niesłyszącychThe Renewal of the Pastoral Care for the DeafArticle
