The author raises the problem of continuous topicality of these old Polish melodies and simultaneously presents their today’s value. The whole teaching of the Church and the dogmas are focused in all these liturgical chants and hymns. The author would like to protect all these pearls of sacred music from falling into the oblivion. In the presented article the attention is focused on the fact that the typical Polish traditions such as: devotion of Lenten Lamentations, the chants which are sung during the Stations of the Cross and the Cross adoration should be cultivated.
