Uwagę swą kieruję na zjawisko rodzicielskiego inwestowania w dziecko, między innymi w postaci zajęć dodatkowych. W artykule opisuję wyniki badań dotyczące zajęć pozalekcyjnych dzieci, co związane jest z odpowiedzią na następujące pytania: W jakich zajęciach dodatkowych najczęściej uczestniczą dzieci i kto dokonuje ich wyboru? Które z zajęć są najbardziej lubiane lub nie i dlaczego? Czy, w jaki sposób i dlaczego dzieci opierają się udziałowi w tych zajęciach? Czy i w jaki sposób rodzice przymuszają dzieci do uczestnictwa w zajęciach dodatkowych? W konkluzji staram się pokazać konsekwencje projektowania dzieciom czasu poza szkołą i domem.In the presented text I describe and analyse the basic values respected by modern middle class parents, and these are: child in itself, it’s upbringing and education. It is worth pointing out a phenomenon of parents’ investing in child’s private lessons. In the article I characterize the results of the study concerning children’s private lessons which is connected with the following questions: – In what kind of extra lessons children participate and who makes the choice? – What classes are the most popular and why? – Why children resist taking part in extra lessons and in what manner? – Do parents make their children go to private lessons?
