The whole text consists of three parts: the first describes the existential questions asked by man especially in the extreme situations. The answers to such questions are to be found in theological field. This is why in our attempts to discover the whole truth about man it is necessary to complete the natural research with the theological explorations. In the second part the author explains the image of man in the European tradition as shown in the works of great theologians and philosophers. The third part is dedicated to the Biblical image of man and also to the one found in the elemental existential experience.plAttribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/pl/człowiekprawdaprawda o człowiekuobraz człowiekatradycja europejskakulturafilozofiateologiaantropologiaBibliaPismo Świętebiblijny obraz człowiekahumantruthtruth about manimage of manEuropean traditionculturephilosophytheologyanthropologyBiblebiblical image of manO adekwatny wizerunek człowiekaToward an Adequate Image of ManArticle
