The theoretical part shows an outline of demonology on the basis of the Holy Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, selected literature and catechism textbooks. The catechized young people’s views about Satan are presented on the basis of a diagnostic review (733 pupils’ responses to 6 out of 18 review questions were used). Sources of knowledge about Satan are presented (catechesis, the Bible, the Church), information about the origin of the devil (a fallen angel, from hell), the notion of it (an evil spirit, a fallen angel, the Tempter, the incarnation of evil), facts remembered from the Holy Scripture (he tempted Adam and Eve, Jesus and people), his role nowadays (he tempts people, turns them away from God, induces them to commit sins). The subjects did not have a good knowledge of demonology and asked to be informed about those spirits reliably.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/złoszatandemonydemonologiakatechizowaniopiniekatechezateologiateologia pastoralnaevilSatandemonsdemonologycatechized peopleopinionscatechesistheologypastoral theologyDemonologia w opinii wybranych grup katechizowanychDemonology in the Opinion of Selected Groups of Catechized YouthsArticle
