On the basis of Origenes’ thought he built foundations for the theology of spirituality. In his works he stressed that man created in God’s “image” and “likeness” tends to Him by his nature, but he formulated man’s relation to God in dialectical terms, especially those of “light” and “darkness” Experiencing God presupposes purity of morals and a virtuous life. He thought that the mystery of Incarnation is brought closer to man by contemplation of God and of His love towards His creatures. He stressed the significance of “apathea” and of a life “similar to that of the angels” in order to draw the reader’s attention to aiming at unification with God. He had a strong influence on Pseudo-Dyonisius the Areopagite and St Maxim the Confessor.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/doświadczeniedoświadczenie Bogażycie cnotliwemistyczne zjednoczenie z Bogiemzjednoczeniezjednoczenie z Bogiemmistykamistycyzmteologiateologia duchowościmistyczne zjednoczenieojcowie Kościołapatrystykapatrologiaexperienceexperience of Godvirtuous lifemystical unification with Godunificationunification with Godmysticismtheologytheology of spiritualitymystical unificationChurch FatherspatristicspatrologyGrzegorz z NyssyGregory of NyssaMistyczne zjednoczenie z Bogiem według św.
