Treść tego dogmatu była rozwijana, wzbogacana nauczaniem kolejnych papieży, aby wskazać, że Maryja Wniebowzięta jest nie tylko wzorem, przykładem do naśladowania, ale także nadzieją wierzących na ich wniebowzięcie.Round anniversaries of important events invite us to reflect and, in the case of Truths of the Faith, to look at their origins. The dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, present in the Church for centuries, was solemnly proclaimed only seventy years ago at the request of bishops and the lay faithful, in the Apostolic Constitution Munificentissimus Deus.
