It analyses the following issues: relations between parents – children, advantages and disadvantages of parents’ absence at home. The author presents the main findings of his empirical research taken place in Podhale region. It was attempted to ask parents who remain at home about their opinion whether husband/wife’s absence has any influence on children’s education in family. The questionnaire was delivered in 2004/2005. It emerged that the adults did not perceived working abroad as a main negative aspect of their family life.
