Most of them – Thomas Aquinas included – answered negatively admitting only a kind of conditional vow. Quite defferent was the sentence of John Duns Scotus. who claimed an absolute, unconditioned vow. His doctrine is worth noticing first of all because of its argumentation, but also because it coincides with the sentence of the Eastern Church who in this sense celebrates the Presentation of the Blessed Virfin in the temple of Jerusalem.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/dziewictwoMaryjaczystośćdziewictwo Najświętszej Maryi Pannyślub czystościstan dziewiczyPełna ŁaskiwiernośćJan Duns Szkotteologiateologia dogmatycznavirginityMarypurityvirginity of the Blessed Maryvow of chastityvow of purityvirginal stateFull of GracefaithfulnessfidelityJohn Duns Scotustheologydogmatic theologyNauka Jana Dunsa Szkota o ślubie dziewictwa Najświętszej Maryi PannyThe Teaching of John Duns Scotus on the Vow of Virginity of the Blessed VirginArticle
