The Ethiopic (Geez) collection is a translation from Arabic made in the 14th century, whereas the latter was in its turn provided on the basis of Coptic Acts, which go back to the fifth / sixth centuries. The items translated here are “The preaching of Simon the son of Cleophas”, “The martrydom of Simon the son of Cleophas”, and “The martrydom of Saint Luke”. The Polish translation is based on the Ethiopic text edition published by E.A.W. Budge, “The Contendigs of the Apostles”, London 1899, with occasional use of other manuscripts from the collection of the British Library.polCC-BY-ND - Uznanie autorstwa - Bez utworów zależnychapokryfyApokryficzne Akta ApostołówGädlä ḤawaryattłumaczeniaprzekładySzymon apostołapostołowieŁukasz EwangelistaświęcimęczennicymęczeństwoapocryphaApocryphal Acts of the ApostlestranslationsSimon the ApostleapostlesLuke the EvangelistsaintsmartyrsmartyrdomEtiopskie „Apokryficzne Akta Apostołów”Ethiopic “Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles”Article
