It contains a detailed specification of parochial and branch churches, monasteries and chaples (over 2400 items) as well as a list of clergy and people living in Catholic and Orthodox churches in the Kingdom of Poland in 1835. The information included in this document can be used by administrative units. The data available from this specification are of great importance for the demographic researches into population distribution and denominational groups in the Kingdom of Poland. Similar documents comprise very few statistical sources that, moreover, are hardly authentic. Therefore, much hope is placed in the Church provenance since the institution of the Church has a long lasting tradition of supplying and gathering demographic information. The manuscript in question is an example of such a rehable source.
