Media also change man and man’s natural environment of existence – the family. A family, where man experiences and learns interpersonal communication belongs to the sphere of multimedia civilisation or the span these media create. The need arises to enquire about the family’s position and men’s position in that span, to enquire about the dangers and possibilities which stem from the mutual presence and communication in the media domain. The article, based on Karol Wojtyla’s personalistic line of thinking, draws attention to human’s special place in the communication process, which stems from ontic-existential fact, that he himself is a person and the communication process itself is a person’s message, which leads to the community of people – communio personarum. These truths indicate the direction for the activities of media spheres, that is broadcasters and man and the family, that is receivers, these areas are, aboveall, transcendence towords the truth oud good of society and individual human bering.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/przestrzeń medialnarodzinaosobacommunio personarumkomunikacjanauki o rodziniemediamedia spacefamilypersoncommunicationfamily studiesmedia sphereśrodki masowego przekazuśrodki społecznego przekazumass mediaRodzina w przestrzeni medialnejThe Family in the Media SphereArticle
