An important element of this reform was the admission of Bishops from different countries of the world to the Roman Curia. In this way. the Archbishop of Cracow, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, became a member of several departments of the Apostolic See. The reformed Roman Curia rendered considerable assistance to the Pope and other shepherds in the renewal of the entire Church. Card. K. Wojtyła actively participated in the works of the Congregation for Divine Worship, later renamed the Congregation for Sacraments and Divine Worship. He took part in the reform of the liturgy which was conducted by this Congregation, participating in the preparation of liturgical books and documents comprised of liturgical regulations. Card. K.
