This communion becomes a matter of fact thanks to the redemptive mysterium of Jesus Christ manifesting itself through Church. Christian mystics are peculiar witnesses to this truth. This paper presents how Sister Roberta Babiak’s mystical life started, developed and manifested itself. In the spiritual itinerary of this Polish mystic of the early 20th century, one can find evidence of a continuous growth in her intimate communion with Christ as her Beloved. Her texts show progression in spiritual life and her experiencing the particular stages of mysticism: from expurgation through partial union up to transforming deifying union. Although not well- -known, the spiritual legacy of Sister Babiak is a tremendous example of nuptial mysticism in the Polish history of spirituality.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/mistykamistycyzmmistyka oblubieńczawięzi miłościśluby duchowezaręczyny duchowezjednoczenie przekształcającemałżeństwo duchoweRoberta Zofia Babiakzakonniceżeńskie zgromadzenia zakonneZgromadzenie Sióstr Służebniczek Najświętszej Maryi Panny Niepokalanie PoczętejKościółbiografiasługi Bożemysticismnuptial mysticismbonds of lovespiritual vowsspiritual betrothaltransformative unionspiritual marriagenunsfemale religious congregationsChurchbiographyservants of Godteologiatheologyteologia duchowościtheology of spiritualityJezus Oblubieńcem człowieka.
