Augustyna. U biskupa Hippony odnajdujemy szereg terminów określających to zachowanie: flagitia, facta mala, iniquitates et perversitates, scelera czy peccatum. Równie interesujące jest dostrzeżenie wpływu, jaki na Augustyna interpretację czynów mężczyzn z Sodomy wywarł swoimi poglądami Julian z Eklanum. To głównie za jego sprawą ocena występku mieszkańców Sodomy przesunięta została przez biskupa Hippony ze sfery ogólnych wykroczeń przeciw naturze (contra naturam) do sfery zachowań seksualnych i na trwałe powiązana z obcowaniem płciowym (stuprum) mężczyzn.The aim of the article is to present the behavior of the inhabitants of Sodom towards two travelers (angels) taken in overnight by Lot (Gen 19: 1-11), according to the teaching of St. Augustine. In the Bishop of Hippo we find a number of Latin terms describing this behavior: flagitia, facta mala, iniquitates et perversitates, scelera or peccatum. It is equally interesting to see the influence that Julian of the Eclanum had on Augustine’s interpretation of the deeds of the Sodomites.
