Chrześcijańska teologia jest rzeczywistością mocno kontekstualną i to zarówno w swym aspekcie geograficznym jak i historycznym. Tradycja pozostaje zawsze żywa, gdyż jest in statu nascendi. Z tej też racji nie ma okresu w filozoficznej myśli, który nie mógłby stać się partnerem dialogu z teologią. Teologia ma ogromną siłę w wyzwalaniu ludzkiej myśli. Z tej racji podjąłem w niniejszym artykule kwestię relacji pomiędzy teologią chrześcijańską a filozofią postmodernizmu. Sądzę, że byłoby ze strony teologii jej wielkim historycznym błędem, gdyby całkowicie odrzuciła możliwość dialogu z pewnymi kierunkami filozofii współczesnej. W niniejszym artykule prezentuję pewne principia, które powinny być respektowane w prowadzeniu dialogu pomiędzy teologią a postmodernizmem. Nie uchylam się również od podkreślenia pewnych rzeczywistych szans dla teologii w jej spotkaniu z postmodernizmem. Szanse te są widoczne szczególnie w sferze epistemologii teologicznej, w kwestii metafizyki i jej znaczenia dla teologii oraz w zakresie metodologii teologicznej.‘Every theology has its time and vice versa’. Christian theology is highly contextual reality, both geographically and chronologically. The tradition remains forever alive in statu nascendi. For this reason, there is no philosophical era which is not appropriate to be the partner of dialogue with theology. Theology has enormous potential to liberate human thinking. That’s why I take the issue of possible relationships between Christian theology and the ‘weak’ philosophy of postmodernism as a subject of present article. I think it would be a great historical mistake on the part of theology to reject totally the possibility of dialogue with some of the streams of postmodern philosophy. In this article I present some principia, which should be respected in dialogue between theology and postmodernism. I attempt to highlight some real chances of theology in the meeting with postmodernism.
