The intellectual difficulties of the heliocentric astronomy cannot justify, however, its legal condemnation. The sentence of 1633 disregarded opinions of many theologians who argued that Biblical teaching can be reconciled with the heliocentric astronomy. In such a context the sentence discloses deplorable supremacy of legal regulations over the theological doctrine.plAttribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/pl/prawdaprawoGalileuszdramatnauki ścisłeStolica ApostolskaJan Paweł IIkapłaniduchowieństwopapieżeKarol Wojtyłaastronomiafilozofiapoezjaliteraturateologiamatematykafizykakosmossobórsobór trydenckitradycjaheterodoksjawspółczesnośćtruthlawscienceHoly SeeJohn Paul IIpopesclergypriesthoodastronomyphilosophypoetryliteraturetheologymathematicsphysicscosmoscouncilCouncil of TrenttraditionheterodoxypresentdramaPrawda i prawo w dramacie GalileuszaTruth and law in the Galileo affairArticle
