First of all it shows the origin of the word “evangelization” and its meaning. Then the article describes evangelizational problems, a relation between evangelization and catechesis and the particular role of a family in the evangelizational mission. Finally, on this background, it presents the teaching of John Paul II as concerns evangelization in Christian family. A family, according to the Pope, is the first and fundamental evangelizational environment. In this particular community all the members evangelize and are evangelized.
