It is also the revelation and, as it were, insight in the mysteries of the Holy Trinity. The source of the Eucharist is the acting Triune God. He Himself is in fact the everlasting and continuous Eucharist. The essence of the latter is personal giving of oneself and incessant thanksgiving for this gift. Jesus Christ in the Eucharist unveils this mystery of God in the Trinity of Persons.
