Religious education may be understood as a set of actions making the bonds between man and God and between God and man deeper. It is not only transmission of religious contents, or even forming an attitude of preserving religious principies in a man, but forming a mature humanity in the perspective of the supernatural. Religious education is determined by the tradition of the given religion, by its differentiated character. Reflection undertaken in the present article shows religious education in the Christian perspective, and it leads, among others, to the following conclusion: Christian religious education is supposed to make it possible for a man to notice the existential character of religion, its significance for the quality of everyday lite and for a versatile development of the person.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/wychowaniewychowanie religijnebiblijno-teologiczne podstawy wychowaniapedagogia Bogapedagogia Chrystusapedagogiaidee kierownicze wychowania religijnegoteologiateologia pastoralnabiblijne podstawy wychowaniateologiczne podstawy wychowaniaupbringingreligious educationedukacja religijnareligious upbringingbiblical-theological foundations of educationpedagogy of Godpedagogy of ChristJesus ChristJezus Chrystuspedagogymanaging ideas of religious educationidee kierownicze edukacji religijnejguiding ideas of religious upbringingtheologypastoral theologybiblical foundations of upbringingtheological foundations of upbringingBibliaBiblePismo ŚwięteedukacjaeducationWychowanie religijne z perspektywy katolickiejReligious Education from the Catholic PerspectiveArticle
