The source of these contemplations are John Paul II’s exhortations and, to a lesser degree, His pastoral letters and meetings with worshippers. The meaning and importance of John Paul II’s reflections about consecrated life and its promotion are expressed emphaticly in the article. Pope emphasized the significant and remarkable role of the consecration in the Church. He draws worshippers’ attention to exceptional character of this unique service, which can be implemented in two ways: in a community, and in solitude. Consecrated life means to follow Christ’s example in one’s life through undertaking obligation of virginity, poverty, obedience, and the entire devotion to God. The fact that John Paul II gives the model of consecrated life, which says about Church’s sancity is shown at the end of this article, and it stresses that the promotion of consecration was becoming the powerful example of the spiritual strength of the Church.plAttribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/pl/nauczanie Jana Pawła IIJohn Paul II's teachingnauczanie papieskiePope's teachingJan Paweł IIJohn Paul IIKarol Wojtyłapapieżepopesdokumenty Kościołaadhortacja apostolskaapostolic exhortationRedemptionis donumVita consecratażycie konsekrowaneconsecrated lifenieboheavenKrólestwo NiebieskieKingdom of Heavenosoby konsekrowaneconsecrated personspowołanievocationczystośćubóstwoposłuszeństwopuritypovertyobedienceChurch documentsŻycie konsekrowane zwiastunem nieba.
