It is more and more difficult for young people to be able to live and they escape in drug addiction. St. John Paul II highlighted a lot of times the role of the Church serving a human, which is its way. The Pope expressed the interest in the drug addiction problem and he encouraged priests and congregations to be concerned of addicted people. The pastoral work should go in two directions: prophylaxis and rehabilitation in the prevention of drug addiction.
