When the first prospectors appeared on their soil, they introduced the indigenous people of PNG to new and various European values. Thus, not only indigenous people but their missionaries as well had to struggle with many challenges. Today this country calls itself Christian, but it does not mean that this claim reflects the real truth and reality about PNG society. Certainly, the people of this country have a lot of natural goodness and they are naturally very gifted. On the other hand, they face specific difficulties while being put to the test between their traditional heritage and the Christianity, and this is why their Church is in the midst of turmoil. But the same Church does everything possible to lead her faithful along the evangelical way in the context of acculturated principles and important universal ecclesiastic requirements. One of the important signs of this endeavor is the five-years national pastoral plan for the Catholic Church in PNG, launched on June 5, 2006.plCC-BY-SA - Uznanie autorstwa - Na tych samych warunkachPapua Nowa GwineaKościółKościół w Papui Nowej GwineiKościół katolicki w Papui Nowej Gwineihistoriahistoria Kościołaewangelizacjahistoria ewangelizacji w Papui Nowej GwineiNowa Gwineachrześcijaństwochrześcijaństwo w Nowej Gwineimisjedziałalność misyjnadziałalność misyjna Kościołaspołeczeństwo Nowej Gwineiludność nowej GwineireligijnośćliturgiakatechezaKościół katolickikultury Nowej Gwineirelatywizm wyznaniowyrelatywizmPapua New GuineaChurchChurch in Papua New GuineaCatholic Church in Papua New GuineahistoryChurch historyevangelizationhistory of evangelization in Papua New GuineaNew GuineaChristianityChristianity in New Guineamissionsmissionary activitiesmissionary activity of the Churchsociety of New Guineapeople of New GuineareligiousnessliturgycatechesisCatholic Churchcultures of New Guineadenominational relativismrelativismBlaski i cienie Kościoła w Papui Nowej GwineiBrightness’ and shades of the Church in Papua New GuineaArticle
