Przyjęcie perspektywy socjologicznej i odwołanie do koncepcji społeczeństwa ryzyka i polityki strachu pokazało, że różnorodność religijna bywa dziś traktowana jako potencjalne zagrożenie. Następnie omówiono nowy kontekst społeczny, w jakim funkcjonuje dziś religia. Przedstawiono też różne sposoby rozumienia i praktykowania dialogu między wyznawcami różnych religii i możliwe skutki takiego dialogu, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem perspektywy państw europejskich.The article discusses the new social conditions of interreligious dialogue. Adopting a sociological perspective and referring to the concept of the risk society and the politics of fear showed that religious diversity today is sometimes treated as a potential threat. This was followed by a discussion of the new social context in which religion operates today.
