The Catholic Church took action in both of these fields, inspired by the teachings of Popes Leo XIII and Pius XI concerning the so‑called “social issue.” These inspirations were aptly interpreted and practically implemented by Antoni Julian Nowowiejski, bishop of Płock, known today as a social activist and reformer. This text analyses the specific activities of the Płock clergy in the interwar period, which were supposed to counteract the negative social consequences of the issues mentioned above.polCC-BY-ND - Uznanie autorstwa - Bez utworów zależnychbezrobocieemigracjaKościół katolickiKościółAntoni Nowowiejskiarcybiskupiduchowieństwoduchowieństwo płockienauczanie społeczne Antoniego Nowowiejskiegonaródkatolicka nauka społecznahistorianauczanie społeczne Kościoładuszpasterstwoduszpasterstwo emigracyjnepolskie duszpasterstwo emigracyjneduszpasterzepolscy duszpasterze emigrantówemigrancireemigracjaprzyczyny emigracjiprzyczyny bezrobociaunemploymentemigrationCatholic ChurchChurcharchbishopsclergyclergy of PłockAntoni Nowowiejski’s social teachingnationCatholic social teachinghistorysocial teaching of the Churchpastoral careemigratory pastoral carePolish emigratory pastoral careministersPolish ministers for emigrantsemigrantsre-emigrationreasons of emigrationreasons of unemploymentSpołeczny i narodowy charakter wskazań abpa Antoniego Nowowiejskiego dla duchowieństwa płockiego w kontekście problemów bezrobocia i emigracji po roku 1918The Social and National Character of Archbishop Antoni Nowowiejski’s Recommendations for the Clergy of the Płock Diocese in the Context of Unemployment and Emigration after 1918Article
